David Ramirez for Whatcom County Council
David Ramirez is a native Washingtonian and although his career took him to other states, he returned home to Washington at the first opportunity. He now resides in Everson with his family where he is active in his church and community at large.
He is the father of nine children ages 24 - 1 1/2 and is the proud grandfather of four. He enjoys spending time with his extensive family.
David is an exemplary example of servant leadership and isn't afraid of hard work. He has served in many roles for the Boy Scouts of America and played key roles in training leadership in providing tools to help raise a generation of civic and community minded youth.
He has also served as a treasurer and then president of the Whatcom Family Community Network. With WFCN, he helped facilitate programs that supply families and community members with resources, opportunities, and skills to thrive.
As the CFO of Home Front Therapies, he has helped to build a network of integrative therapy options for veterans and soldiers returning from active duty tours and their families, allowing them to heal from PTSD and readjust to civilian life.
David is a firm believer that strong families build strong, successful communities. Families come in many diversified forms and all have a voice.
Our community faces many challenges when it comes to dealing with homelessness, education, public safety, land use, water rights, sustainability, and employment. These challenges effect us all and we need leadership that can find the balance to work through these opportunities.
David is ready to tackle these issues and find sustainable solutions. He wants to be the voice of the residents of Whatcom to bring balance back to our County Council. We are one one voice. One Whatcom.
